Kickstart company worked with the children at Alexander First School and made incredible commitments them and their wellbeing. As a company they are first and foremost looking out for the children that they work with; they became role models and support networks for vulnerable children. Kevin and Mike worked with classes as large as 28 and as small as 8 but every session was fun, engaging, curriculum linking and delivered to a high standard. Alongside class sessions Kevin and Mike would deliver 1:1 or small group Nurture sessions, here they would be working with children who expressed challenging behaviours or were vulnerable children within the community environment. They built up trust, rapport and compassion with these children delivering tailormade sessions for their needs. These children made huge steps of progress over the time working with Kickstart and it is down to their hard work and dedication that these children are now able to integrate more with their peers and navigate the school day with minimal hiccups. Kickstart are an incredible company with a true passion to help children for the better.

 My son Monty has regularly attended Kickstart Soccer sessions since he was 5 years old. We were keen for him to get high-level coaching to develop his skills but mainly we just wanted him to learn to love playing football.

 His journey has been amazing. From a kid who previously had only ever just messed around with a ball in the garden, every few weeks something seemed to just click and fast-forward a few years, he’s slotted seamlessly into playing U9s with a club, coming up against kids that have been playing club football regularly for 2 seasons.

 It’s great watching him out on the pitch. He’s confident on the ball, makes good decisions and the 1st thing the club coach commented on was his attitude. He just loves it. And that’s very much down to the coaching ethos at Kickstart where players aren’t constantly shouted instructions from the sidelines, but are encouraged to improve themselves through guidance and reflective learning.

Poppy joined KickStart in 2018. She loves it and her confidence and football skills have grown so much thanks to Kevin. An exceptional and unique coach.

I can’t recommend Kevin at KickStart highly enough. My 6 year old daughter has undergone group training from 4 years and is now undertaking 1-2-1 sessions. Her confidence and technical ability has improved greatly under the guidance of Kevin.
