Our mission
KickStart Soccer provides fun, healthy and progressive technical and skill development training programmes for young people aged between 3-18. The coaching sessions focus on developing technical skills through structured and engaging challenge based training sessions. Inclusive to all, we at KickStart Soccer aim to enhance the long term development of all participants. We believe that by installing a growth mindset our young players will enhance their technical, physical, psychological and social skills to enable positive outcomes in their personal development. Every coaching session aims to be a rewarding experience so that children will continue to participate in physical activity and kick start not only their soccer careers but enhance a healthy and positive lifestyle.

Kevin Cox
Founder & Lead Coach
In 2004 Kevin successfully completed a BA (Hons) Degree in Sports Industry Management. He began coaching at the age of 23 and gained valuable experience working for Major League Soccer in the USA for 3 years. In 2006 he was selected from over 200 coaches and accredited with the MLS Young Players Coach of the year award.
Kevin is a UEFA B and FA Youth Award licensed coach and has spent over 10 years in special education; coaching and mentoring young people with complex social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Over these years Kevin has become an ASD advisor, Intervention Lead and Safeguarding Coordinator to ensure young people with special needs receive the best possible support.
Kevin coaches at a range of grassroots football clubs in Berkshire. After coaching and mentoring all types of children with different abilities and from various different backgrounds, Kevin has the skill and experience to develop children through KickStart Soccer.
